Finally finding RSS useful

So I have know the benefits of RSS some some time, however I never felt that all those RSS aggregators our there were very user friendly or easy to remember to go back and check. It seemed like double reading your email every day.

I installed Microsoft Office 2007 on my new laptop last week and was very happy to see that RSS is now just another added folder.

Now I feel like I am getting so much more out of RSS, blogs, and social bookmarking sites! Yea for web 2.0.

Enterprise 2.0

I've been spending quite a bit of time lately researching web 2.0 for the enterprise. To date, I have implemented a few new features in our company intranet including:
- people finder
- recognition
- org charts
- professional experience

So what are we missing? If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them!

Finally...

OK… I finally updated my personal website. Went for a streamlined, one page site. Used a CSS template found via Google. Includes images of my past projects as well as a RSS feed based photo gallery from Google Web Albums (Picsa).

My Chocolate Journal.com Launched

After several months of work, www.mychocolatejournal.com has been launched.

I came up with the concept for a online journal to review and share chocolate back in August after we had to close down P.S. I Love You Fine Chocolates to move to Florida. I spent a couple months in back-end design while still in Colorado and then the first month living down here.

Building out the site took about two months.

I was able to get out the basic features so far. There are still a lot of other features that I would like to build when I have time in the future.

Watch blog.mychocolatejournal.com for more info.
